This is the original EP, which we self-released back in March of 2003. Although it's hard to resist the polish of our latest LP, this gem will always be very special to us. Currently, "I Love Trouble" (which has been re-recorded for Mistakes) is the only song available, however we will be making all tracks available once our new record hits the streets (January 2005 -- see the FAQ for more information)..

What's going on?
We've taken down our site for the time being -- it will relaunch in early January, in conjunction with the release of our debut LP, Mistakes We Knew We Were Making. In the meantime, this temporary site will be in place to allow people to easily contact the band, get news/updates, and download sneak previews of the forthcoming album.

But I heard you guys played your CD release show on December 4th. Is that true?
The Middle East website -- as well as one or two local publications -- incorrectly described that show as our CD release. This happened because we had, in fact, originally reserved the date for the purpose of our CD release show back in September. However, as the album's street date was pushed back the scope of the show was changed from "release show" to "a sweet show."

Unfortunately, the ME's calendar was not updated and the papers were given the wrong information. Que sera.

Okay, so when is your CD release?
It will be in late January, but the exact date and location has not yet been announced. Please check back, or join our mailing list, to receive the details as they become available.

Will you be playing any shows between now and your CD release?
No.

So in the meantime, we just have this placeholder website?
More or less. We know that's sort of lame, but the new site will be closely tied to the concept and artwork of Mistakes and we're loathe to launch anything before it's completely ready. That being said, the old site had stopped functioning properly due to a change in the Flash Player plug-in -- we felt it was more economical to post something simple and direct (a la this page) than to spend any time updating our code to comply with the latest quirks in Macromedia's release.

Isn't it a widely-held belief that drawing attention to the fact that something is "under construction" is somewhat low-rent?
No.

Oh, my mistake.
Yeah, I guess so.

Have you guys even finished recording the record?
Yes. The songs have been recorded for many months at this point, and we've recently finished mixing and mastering. The artwork and music will be send to the manufacturers shortly; we expect to receive our copies in early January.

Will you really be releasing mp3s from Mistakes before it comes out?
Indeed. We intend to release two mp3s via the new website (as well as mp3s from our EP and the Tomorrow Never Happened ... Music from the Pill compilation). These will be available in December, before the CD release. If you're wanting more, it might interest you to know that members of our mailing list will be given a link on 12/17 for a third song off our new album that will not be released to the general public until our site relaunches in January. If you're not yet a member, sign up today to ensure you don't miss it. The form can be found at the top of this page.

Can you provide a track listing for the new record yet?
In no particular order, the songs featured on Mistakes are: Breaking Me Down, Tremble, Getting Even, Bright Lights, A Simple Plan, Attention, Field Studies, So Clear, I Lose Control, the New Deal, and I Love Trouble.

Where was the record made?
We tracked the songs at Mad Oak, recorded vocals and mixed at Small Church, and mastered at New Alliance East. Artwork and layout was done by the band's own Brad Kayal (drums).

Who's putting it out?
Primary Voltage Records, of course.
